New Year's Resolutions

Fourth Graders!

It is 2011 and one of the traditional practices is to create some resolutions or goals for the new year!

Think about something that you want to improve upon or practice less/more this year.

Please write a response with your New Years Resolution, explain how the resolution is a change from your current lifestyle.

Example: This year, my New Year's Resolution is to drink less soda. Soda tastes great but it is not the healthiest choice of drinks. I am going to try to change this habit buy drinking more water when I am thirsty and 100% juice in place of soda. Drinking less soda will help to make my diet healthier.

I don't really have any more New Years resolutions except for being more helpful around the house by doing more chores and helping clean the house.

My New Year’s resolution is to be more active. I will do this by going outside a lot more and play something or just ride my scooter. I can also get my parents to get me in a sport like Volleyball or Track. I will also be more active at recess like run or play basketball instead of playing 4square.

My New Year’s resolution is to start a mineral collection. In class we are learning about different kinds of rocks and minerals. It is an interesting concept. Therefore that is why this is my New Year’s resolution!

This year my New Years resolution is not changing sports teams. Why I say this is because the last few years I've changed basketball teams. My mom always likes me changing teams but that is just to much work and learning new plays and meeting new kids.{:

My New Year’s resolution is to focus more on gymnastics. I want to do this because I get good exercise and it is something that is fun to me. I also like it because I can communicate with my friends and we can work together and play fun games. I want to focus more on gymnastics this year because it is my first year competing against other girls at their gyms and some girls come to my gym to.

My New Year’s resolution is to play “Be our Guest “from Beauty and the Beast on our electric piano at home. This would be quite an accomplishment for me since I have been practicing it a lot.

My New Year’s resolution is to have better eating manners at home. I have eating manners, but I don’t use them very often. My mom always jokes about sending me to a manner school. Some examples are working on using a fork and a spoon. I am going to work on that every day. My New Year’s resolution is to have better eating manners.

My New Year’s revelation is to do a round off back handspring on floor by myself. I know I’m close because I can do it on the long tramp at Peak Athletics. I can do a back handspring, a round off, and I’m in advanced. I’m going to try my best to achieve my goal.

My New Years Revolution is to watch less T.V. so I can do things like more art, go outside, clean my house to help my mom, clean the football stadium of a yard for my dad, and not yell at my family. All this stuff on T.V. will give me bad habits at school and at home so that’s why I need and want to cut my T.V. habits.
